Gnarr Gully

Gnarr Gully is located to the south of Soldiers Hill. On the morning of 03 December 1854 the Government forces stopped for half an hour at the Gnarr Gully, along what is know Mair Street, while they waited to be joined by more forces from Soldiers Hill who were in full battle dress. The attacking force included nearly 300 men including mounted and foot soldiers of the 12th and 40th Regiment, and mounted and foot Police. [1]
