John Haig was a juror at the James Scobie Inquest.
Post 1854 Activity
He attended the 50th Anniversary Celebrations in Ballarat. At that time John Haig was living in Berringa.[1]
Obituary
- . Mr John Haig, a colonist for over 40 years, died at Berringa on September 17 at the advanced age of 82 years. He was an eye witness of the Eureka Stockade fight at Ballarat, and was a successful miner and farmer. For many years he held the district championship for tossing the caber and similar heavy-weight competitions.[2]
