Rolf was residing at Ballarat when he signed the Benden Hassell Petition in 1856. [1]


Dissolution of Partnership.
NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership hitherto existing between the undersigned William Pole and Joseph Rolf, as Storekeepers at Ballarat; Creswick Creek, Magpie Gully, Chalk Hills, and Hiscock's, is this day dissolved by mutual consent.
All debts due to the firm are to be paid to the above William Pole, and all claims against the firm are to be settled by him.
Dated at Ballarat, this 23rd day of August, 1856.
