A.F. Allchin

Background

Alfred Allchin was the son of Charles Allchin. He and settled in Ballarat in 1855. Allchin was a member of the firm Allchin & Morrell, then Allchin & Bros Pty Ltd (1916). They manufactured bags, leggings and footballs which were distributed throughout Australia. Allchin was the first captain of the Sebastopol Football Club .and a member of the Volunteer Rangers and a keen follower of politics.[1]
