Background

Forssman was born 04 March 1832 at Christiana [now Oslo], Norway. He was said to have jumped ship in April 1853. [1]

Forssman died on 7 November 1919 at Daylesford Hospital, and is buried at Eganstown Catholic Cemetery. At the time of his death he was residing at Korweinguboora.[2]

Goldfields Involvement, 1854

HeForssman was in Ballarat at the time of the Eureka battle. He married Ellen Murphy on 29 May 1858 at St Alipius, Ballarat. Forssman, along with Charles Ferguson, travelled for some days with the Burke and Wills party. [3]

Post 1854 Experiences

Forssman was a carrier until 1872 when he moved to Korweinguburra. [4]
