Background

Thomas James Valient was born in Delhi, India. he joined the British Army as a Cornet on 29 May 1828.[1]

Goldfields Involvement, 1854

Post 1854 Experiences

Valiant was a Lieutenant Colonel in the 40th Regiment. He was a participant in the Eureka Stockade battle. [2]
