Obituary

BALLARAT.-An old soldier, Corporal Samuel McKee, who was attached to one of the companies of the 40th Regiment which fought at the Eureka Stockade in 1854, died on Monday at the Benevolent Asylum. By a curious coincidence, Martin Cusack, who was also enrolled m the 40th Regiment at the same time, now lies seriously ill in a bed next to that in which McKee breathed his last.[2]
