Paul Brentani

Background

Paul Brentani was from Italy and was said to be a close friend of Raffaello Carboni. He was responsible, according to Carboni, for indicating the value of Ballarat clay for brick making. Bentani’s bricks were made from clay at the Gravel Pits. [1]

Goldfields Involvement, 1854

Paul Brentani was a Ballarat resident in 1854. He is the only other Italian mentioned by Carboni in his writings. [2]
