Background

Goldfields Involvement, 1854

Patrick Walsh was a Private in the 40th Regiment (no 3086). He was possibly present during the Eureka Stockade battle on 03 December 1854.[1]

Post 1854 Experiences

He later served in New Zealand during the Second Maori War in the early 1860s. He was awarded the New Zealand Star. He had left the army by 1869.[2]
