Background
Private James Nowlan (or Newlan) (1009) arrived in Melbourne on the transport ship Empress Eugene. [1]
Goldfields Involvement, 1854
James Nowlan was a member of the 12 Regiment. He was possibly present at the storming of the Eureka Stockade.[2]
Post 1854 Experiences
As an invalid (PRO3718) Nowlan returned to England from Hobart in January 1858.[3]
