Background

Dr David Williams was born in 1819 in Swansea[1], Glenmorganshire, Wales, Dr Williams studied Medicine in London, graduating in 1841.[2]

He died in 1902.[3]

Goldfields Involvement, 1854

Dr David Williams was a medical doctor who was at Eureka during the uprising and attended the the wounded at the Government Camp. He was the coroner in the inquest into the death of James Scobie on 07 October 1854, and on Henry Powell after the Eureka Stockade.[4]

Post 1854 Experiences

Dr David Williams settled at Queenscliff, Victoria in 1855 where he set up in practice, living at at 26 Mercer Street.[5]
