Brown Hill

Background

Brown Hill was named after a gold digger called Brown Bill. It was originally Brown Bill's diggings. The western boundary of Brown Hill is now Stawell Street, extending eastwards across the Western Freeway to land that was in Bungaree Shire before the municipal amalgamations of 1994.The
