Antonio Capuano

Background

Capuano was born in 1818 at Aversa, Italy, arriving in Australia in 1850. Capuano married Agnes Little Bell on 28 June 1856, at Creswick, Victoria. Agnes died in 1873. His second marriage was to Emily Edmonds in 1891. Antonio Capuano died in 12 June 1915, and is buried at Creswick Cemetery. [1]

Goldfields Involvement, 1854

He was living at Daylesford in 1854, and Creswick in 1855/6. It is thought that Capuano was a participant at Eureka. [2]

Obituary

Several pioneers have passed away in the Creswick district during the last week, including Mr. Antonio Pavarno, aged 97 years, Mr. Samuel Brinsden, 63, and Mrs..Greenwell, 74. [3]
