Ann Quin was the daughter of Patrick Quin and Ann Walker. She was born 1824 in Wexford Ireland. She died 1 February 1872 in California Gully Bendigo. Anne married Roger Pitt on 29 July 1844 in Hobart Town Van Diemen's Land Tasmania Reg # 119463. Roger was the son of Samuel Pitt and Ann Hutchings/Hutchins. Their daughter Jane Pitt attended St Alipius School on 11 March 1854.
