Ann was a barmaid at Eureka. On 20 July 1856 at St Paul’s Church of England, Ballarat, she married John Arnold Frank. He was a miner who was inside the Eureka Stockade when it was stormed on 3 December 1854. They had six children: Elizabeth b. 1858 Ballarat; John b. 1860 Ballarat (married Annie Berry in 1885); Jane b. 1862 Linton; Robert b. 1864 Linton; William b. 1867 Linton; Ellen b. 1868; and Sarah b. 1873 at Sebastopol. John Arnold Frank had been born at Nottingsley, Yorkshire.
