Background
Adolfus Lessman was born 1828 in Hanover, Germany. Lessman came to Australia after the Schleswig-Holstein War of 1848.[1]
He died in March 1869, at Talbot, aged 41[2]
Goldfields Involvement, 1854
On Saturday 02 December 1854 Peter Lalor sent Lessman out for stop raids on storekeepers. Lessman was a participant in the Eureka Stockade battle who was slightly wounded. Lessman was Lieutenant of rifleman. [3]
Post 1854 Experiences
Lessman was the informant on William Emmermann's death certificate.[4]
During the procession to mark the second annivesary of the Eureka Stockade Lessman carried a garland of flowers.[5]
