Background
Goldfields Involvement, 1854
Alfred James Ackroyd was the son of Mary (Walker) and Francis Ackroyd. He was born 2 October 1854 in Ballarat. His father was inside the Eureka Stockade when the battle occurred on 3 December 1854. [1]
Post 1854 Experiences
James Ackroyd attended the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Eureka Stockade.
