The barque Himalaya was built in Sunderland, England in 1840. It was 477 tons, owned by E. Arthur and registered in London. In 1842, captained by H Burn, it sailed from England to Australia. [1] The Himalaya was 477 tons. She departed on 31 October 1841 arriving at Port Philip on 26 February 1842. Her Medical superintendent was Dr Richard Day MD.
