Himalaya
The barque Himalaya was built in Sunderland, England in 1840. It was 477 tons, owned by E. Arthur and registered in London. In 1842, captained by H Burn, it sailed from England to Australia. [1] The Himalaya was 477 tons. She departed on 31 October 1841 arriving at Port Philip on 26 February 1842. Her Medical superintendent was Dr Richard Day MD.

Patrick Kennedy (not associated with Eureka) The first man hanged in 1851 in the newly formed colony of Victoria.
