Obituary

Neep – on Wednesday, 22nd April, at 18 Barkly street, Ballarat East, William Neep, aged 61 years. We regret to record the death of another old resident of Ballarat, Mr W. Neep, who expired at his residence, Barkly street, Ballarat East, yesterday of cancer. Deceased, who was 61years of age, arrived in the colony in 1852. He was a great supporter of athletics and a prominent member of the Ballarat Cricket Club. When Parr and Stephenson’s team visited Ballarat and played the B.C.C., Mr Neep won the bat presented to the highest scorer. Deceased leaves a widow and a grown-up family.[1]
