Background
Goldfields Involvement, 1854
Johnstone (or johnson) was a private in the 12th Regiment (no 2986). He was probably present during the Eureka Stockade battle on 03 December 1854, as he was in Ballarat for the 3rd muster.[1]
Post 1854 Experiences
Johnstone served in New Zealand from 1860 to 1863. [2]
