Background

Johnstone (or Johnson) was a private in the 12th Regiment (no 2986).

Goldfields Involvement, 1854

He was probably present during the Eureka Stockade battle on 03 December 1854, as he was in Ballarat for the 3rd muster.[1]

Post 1854 Experiences

Johnstone served in New Zealand from 1860 to 1863. [2]
