The deceased lady arrived in the colony in 1849, and with her husband she took up her residence in Ballarat in 1852. For the past thirty-seven years Mrs Phillips has been a resident of Mount Pleasant. She had been in failing health for the past few months, and about six weeks ago she went to Drouin for a change, an she died there on Wednesday. Deceased was seventy-nine years of age, and her surviving children are Mr Charles Phillips, of the Rocky Lead State School; Mr R. Phillips and Mrs Skewes, of Drouin. OBITUARY
The death of Mrs Sarah Phillips, of Mount Pleasant, will be learned with regret by an exceedingly large number of residents of the district. The deceased lady arrived in the colony in 1849, and with her husband she took up her residence in Ballarat in 1852.
