Goldfields Involvement, 1854

Polkinghorne and his brothers, John Polkinghorne and James Polkinghorne, were in Ballarat at the time of the Eureka Stockade, but did not take place in the uprising. According to family oral tradition they hid in the bush, but the next day met soldiers searching for Peter Lalor.
