In a witness statement he said he saw  John Joseph at the Stockade who fired on the [[Military]] towards Captain [[Christopher Wise]] who fell at that time. O'Keefe saw him afterwards with a pike running towards the tent, and again in custody outside the stockade.

Background

Goldfields Involvement, 1854

Patrick O'Keefe was a private with the 40th Regiment. He was present at the attack on the Eureka Stockade.
