Newsworthy

Old Ballaratians will remember Morgan Lee, of Band of Hope, Hand and Band, and other mining companies. He is old now and cold (pecuniarily), and has turned publican, whereby to warm his remaining days. Not many years ago he had thousands in the bank and other moneys at usance. One of his borrowers died, and Morgan took the widow to wife, and so re deemed the mortgage for the dead man.[2]
