James Lang at the 50th Anniversary of the Eureka Stockade

Background

James Lang was born in 1822. His parents were Andrew Lang and Elizabeth Dick. James Lang died on 28 July 1911. [1]


Goldfields Involvement, 1854

Lang was a miner who was inside the Eureka Stockade on 03 December 1854.[2]

Post 1854 Experiences

James Lang became a farmer at Bangerang near Warracknabeal. He attended the 50th anniversary of the Eureka Stockade.

In The News

BANGERANG- Miss M Lang an old resident, has died. Her father the late James Lang was one of the earliest settlers, and he opened the Bangernang Post-office more than 50 years ago. [3]
Last week the 320-acre farm of the late James Lang was sold at £11/10/ an acre.[4]
