Goldfields Involvement, 1854
Henry Bedwell swore a deposition on 11th December 1854.
This deponent Henry Bedwell on his oath saith as follows:
I am a gold digger. Prisoners tent is about thirty yards from mine in a gully the other side. I recollect seeing prisoner and his mate in bed on Saturday night ?? I was awake the next mornng by the firing. Prisoner came to me ?? heard it. I got up. Prisoner went to his tent. In ? at about ten minutes prisoner came down, the troopers came and arrested prisoner. I have ?? prisoner a will ? during the meetings.
