Background
Goldfields Involvement, 1854
George Fraser was a constable with the police at Ballarat and was present at the storing of the Eureka Stockade, and had been stationed at Ballarat for about 12 months. He saw John Joseph and Raffaello Carboni when in the Eureka Stockade. Josephs was in custody. Fraser was ordered to join the guard to secure the prisoners. He saw Raffaello Carboni brought out from the direction of the stockade in the custody of two men.[1]
