Saturday was the anniversary of the fight between the diggers and soldiers on the Eureka. The spot is now the site of a monument, which, however, is not yet completed. It is hoped that the monument will be finished by next anniversary, when there will probably be some celebration, under the auspices of the Old Colonists’ Association.[1]
