Obituary

Keys.—The funeral of the late Mrs Brigid Keys took place on Saturday last, when the remains were interred in the New Cemetery. Despite the very inclement weather, a large gath ering assembled to pay the last tribute of respect. Prior to the funeral leaving the house the family were the recipients of numerous telegrams, letters and personal expressions of sym pathy. The casket containing the re mains of the deceased was borne by Messrs D. and W. Keys (sons 6f the deceased). .J. Burke (brother), W. Phelan and S. Curtain (sons-in-law), and M. Curtain (grandson). The representative gentlemen present were Messrs Wm. White, A. W. Hager, P. Gallagher, Jim. Lyon's, P. M'Carthy, P. W.- Moloney, W. T. Gunn, A. Braybrook, T. James. P. Corby, A. Elston, Const. 0. Roberts, W. and M. Myles, A. Chisholm and numerous others. The Rev. Father R. M. Gellie officiated at the graveside, and Messrs Steve Wellington and Son car ried out the funeral arrangements.[1]
