Andrew McIntyre was born in 1828. He married Margaret Kerr on 19 May 1850 at Gorbals, Scotland. By 1854 he was a miner at Ballarat. He is often confused with another man of the same name who was arrested for the burning of the Eureka Hotel.[1]
