Alexander McKenzie Allen

Background
Alexander McKenzie Allen was born on 03 September 1920 at Montrose, Scotland.[1] Margaret (Gellatly) and her husband Alexander McKenzie Allen and three children sailed from Scotland on the Flora in 1852. He was a tailor who was working as a miner at Eureka at the time of the Eureka Stockade. Alexander died in September 1899 and was buried at Mount Egerton Cemetery.[2]

The family lived on the east side of Ballarat West where Alexander worked as a tailor.[3]

Alexander and Margaret had six children, three born in Australia:
