Obituary

PETERS – On the 26th December, at his residence, No 4 Eddy street, Ballarat East, Adolph Johann Peters, late watchmaker and jeweller, of Skipton street, and beloved husband of Louisa Peters; aged 75 years. No flowers, by request.

Mr. A. J. Peters, who had been a resident of Ballarat since 1851, died yesterday, at the age of 75, the cause of death being an attack of bronchitis. The deceased, who was for years in business in Skipton street as a watchmaker and jeweller, was a member of the Ballarat German Association, in which he had held the position of vice-president, and at the time of his death was a member of committee and auditor. Formally he was a member of the Maryborough, Talbot, and Majorca branch of the association. He was a native of Hamburg.[1]
