William Bush
- At Euroa (Vic.) is Mr. William Bush, who was born in 1836 — the year before Queen Victoria ascended the throne. Landing at Portland 50 years ago from the full rigged ship Duke of Richmond, Mr. Bush took up land at Strathbogie, and made a home in the densely-timbered country. Here he reared a large family, worked his farm. and prospered generally. He walks 10 miles at 91, and loves to tackle a fallen tree with axe and saw. His many memories include the Eureka Stockade and the goldfields rush.<ref>Portland Guardian, 29 Otober 1927.<ref>
