Background
Thomas Barker Hunt was the brother-in-law George Barker. [1]
Goldfields Involvement, 1854
He was a storekeeper at Barker and Hunt, which was situated in Main Road, Specimen Hill. The Eureka Flag was hoisted on their store on 29 November 1854. Barker and Hunt’s Store is reproduced in a sketch by Charles Doudiet. [2]
Post 1854 Experiences
Barker and Hunt received the payment of £22.18.8 and £16.0.0 for provisions in relation to the military at Ballarat in February 1855. [3]
