Obituary

Mr. John Graham, one of the Eureka district's best known residents, collapsed and died near the entrance gate to his home yesterday. Yesterday was the fifth anniversary of his wife's death and he had taken his grandchildren to school and collected the mail in a sulky. He readied the gate and called out, but was dead before assistance could be given to him.
The late Mr. Graham was 76 years of age. He was born at Bulli and spent his early life in Wollongong where he married Miss Elizabeth Thompson 50 years ago. He moved to Mackay (Qld.) and lived there for a number of years, but with his wife and family came to the Richmond River district about 20 years ago. For a time he farmed at the Channon, but later took up land at Eureka.
He is survived by nine children, the sons being Messrs. Edward (Bellingen), Cecil (Mackay, Qld.), Percival (Lismore), Colin (Eureka), Neville (Nashua) and Eric (Eureka). Mesdames L. Graham '(Grafton), Archie Noble .(Eureka) and Keith Johnston (Urbenville) are daughters.
Mr. William Graham, late of the Channon, is a brother. The late Mr. Graham will be buried beside the remains of his wife in the Methodist portion of the Clunes Cemetery.
