Eureka 42, 1896
The Ballarat Historical Records Society later known as the Ballarat Historical Society, chose the 42nd anniversary of Eureka for their celebrations. This was held at the Botanic Gardens on 4th December 1896. The 'Demonstration' took the form of a cricket match between the Old Colonists and the Historical Records Society. [1]
