Ballarat Heritage Services, established in 1998 by directors Clare Gervasoni, Wayne Phillipson and Dorothy Wickham, is a specialist publishing firm.

Dr Dorothy Wickham has authored and co-authored many books on Eureka and goldfields history. She is a professional historian, archivist, educator and researcher. She has written a regular history column in the Ballarat Courier and contributed to a heritage spot on ABC Regional radio. Dorothy Wickham specialises in social and cultural history of the goldfields with specific interests in Eureka, welfare histories, migration and freemasonry.


Clare Gervasoni is an experienced museum curator and former art teacher. She has authored and co-authored many books on Art Education, pre-1900 Italian speakers (Swiss/Italian) in Australasia, early European migration, Ballarat School of Mines, and aspects of early goldfields history. Clare has curated Camp to City at Castlemaine Art Gallery, Cuthberts Lawyers at Art Gallery of Ballarat, and numerous exhibitions at the Federation University. She contributed to a regular heritage spot on ABC Regional radio.


Ballarat Heritage Services offers research, consultancy, editing, proofing and design on a range of heritage related services.
